Home Information Pack (HIP)
The Government has announced that from the 20th May 2010 Home Information Packs will no longer be required for selling your home.
Housing Minister Grant Shapps said “Today the new government is ensuring that home information packs (HIPS) are history…. by suspending HIPS…it means that home sellers will be able to get on with marketing their home…”
Vendors should be aware however that although HIPS as such are no longer needed in order to sell your home, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is still required.
