These quotations will almost certainly carry additional (chargeable) ‘extras’, most of which will turn out to be essential. These extra items are often not revealed in detail until the quotation has been accepted. When these ‘extras’ are added to the basic quotation, the true cost will soar enormously (often rising to two or three times the amount of the basic quote). What at first seemed to be an attractive bargain suddenly loses its attractiveness!
